Endcards/Credits/Draft
Endcards/credits (also known as outro) is for looping or repetitive visuals during YouTube endcards or credits, usually at the end of a video.
It is not to be used for conclusions with information.
Description
This category includes these at or near a video's ending:
- Credits
- Pauses
- Static frames
- Looping animations
- Reused or unrelated clips used as background for endcards/credits
- Copyright, fair use, fiction and legal disclaimers
- Stylized end-credits sequences, like at the end of a movie[1]
Exceptions / edge cases

This category is not for any time YouTube endcards or annotations appear, only if there is an obvious cut to designated visuals for endcards/credits.
Usually, outro is near the end of a video, but a compilation of multiple episodes should have each closing credits marked as outro, seperate from intro.
Not included:
- Opening credits (see
intro)
- Post or mid-credits scenes
- Scenes that are mainly verbal credits/shout-outs for the current video or excessively repetitive with no added context can be skipped.
- Topic conclusions and epilogues
- Bloopers (see
Tangents/Jokes)
- “Goodbye” sequences (see
Hook/Greetings)
- Scrolling lists of financial supporters alone do not qualify as “credits”, but fall under
Unpaid/Self Promotion. The reason is that they're not being credited for actual work on the video.
Sponsor,
unpaid promotion, and
interaction reminder should be submitted separately when possible, so users don't need outro enabled to skip types of promotion during endcards/credits.
