Corrupt Profile

Navigate to the Firefox profile directory (Default %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\) and Use a sqlite browser (like DB Browser for SQLite) to open storage-sync-v2.sqlite and check the table storage_sync_data and find in col ext_id the row for sponsorBlocker@ajay.app and get the json of the extension there [1]

Working profile / Backup

  1. Go to about:profiles
  2. Make a new profile
  3. Delete all data in that profile and copy your old profile over (Default %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\)
  4. Load Firefox in that profile
  5. Copy Private ID from extension
